JEDDAH
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Friday strongly condemned Syrian forces' attack on Tireymse village in Hama city.
In a statement released Friday, Ihsanoglu said that they were deeply saddened over the death and injury of unarmed civilians in Tireymse at a time when the Islamic world was approaching the holy month of Ramadan.
Secretary General Ihsanoglu called on the UN Security Council to take all necessary measures on Syria immediately, to end the bloodshed in Syria and protect the Syrian people.

Ihsanoglu has also called on the Islamic countries to commemorate July 11 as the "Day of Mourning".
Ihsanoglu honored the victims of the Srebrenica tragedy and expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Bosnia Herzegovina for lost of their loved ones on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide of 11th July 1995.
Secretary General Ihsanoglu called on the Islamic countries to commemorate the 11th July as the "Day of Mourning" as it was decided upon by the Council of Foreign Ministers.
