Ali Akbar Velayati, member of 2+1 coalition and an Iranian presidential candidate, has said, "I hope our Turkish brothers will understand too that a military solution is not possible in Syria" in regards to Turkey's Syria policy.
The conservative candidate stated, Iran absolutely do not accept a military intervention for the solution of the Syria issue and reminded that he believes, the problem would be solved via political ways.
"We have to accept it that Turkey and Iran have different opinions about the Syria issue. It is normal for all countries to have their own foreign politics. I hope that our Turkish brothers will understand too that a military solution is not possible in Syria," noted Velayati.
Velayati replied the questions of reporters at a press conference in capital Tehran and said, Ankara and Tehran had common thoughts on many topics in the region.
He described Iran and Turkey as two important countries of Islam world and highlighted that both countries were creating joint cooperation fields for the solution of regional problems.
"Turkey always played a constructive role in Iran's nuclear facilities", said Velayati and stated that they were happy with Ankara's attitude over this topic.
