IZMIR (AA) - Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz, following Wednesday's military coup in Egypt, stated that the energy transmission system of Egypt with the neighboring countries would not limp.
Yildiz came together on Thursday with the representatives of energy sector in Aegean province of Izmir.
Yildiz reminded that Turkey took over the energy distribution project covering 8 countries also including Egypt, and said, "We have an interconnection with 8 countries involving Egypt too, so this is a mission taken over by Turkey regarding structuring of transmission lines from Syria to Egypt. This master plan, the interconnection of 8 countries, would be made by Turkey, We don't think any disruption would occur in this interconnection."
