Turkish security forces on Tuesday arrested 62 suspects in an operation held in 29 provinces as part of efforts to prevent narcotic sales through internet, security officials said.
The operation was held coordinately with the Department of Combating Narcotic Crimes and Department of Combatting Cyber Crimes, the official, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media, said.
The suspects were arrested after they publish on internet “the contents encouraging the use of drugs on the internet" and "describing the methods of using drugs."
Special scales, which are used in measuring drugs, were seized during the raids conducted on some of the suspects' homes.
No further details were given.
