ANKARA
Turkey's Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci will visit India on Thursday to attend a meeting of the Turkey-India Joint Committee for Economic and Technical Cooperation.
Zeybekci will meet India's Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma on Friday to sign a protocol for the new committee, according to written statement by Turkey's Ministry of Economy.
The two ministers will negotiate an increase in the trade volume between the two countries, with the goal of reaching steady and sustainable levels.
Zeybekci will later meet with Indian CEO's.
Trade relations between Turkey and India have developed recently. The trading volume between the countries in 2002 amounted to US$637 million. In 2012, it rose to $6.6 billion.
India is the tenth biggest importer to Turkey. Direct investment from India to Turkey totals $102 million.
