Turkey's European Union Minister Egemen Bagis met with European Home Affairs Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom in Strasbourg.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Bagis said he discussed with Malmstrom Turkey's demand for visa-free travel for Turkish nationals, adding that the commissioner had pledged to present within a few weeks "a roadmap that would end with visa exemption."
"The EU has certain expectations from Turkey and Turkey has certain expectations from the EU. And our biggest expectation is an end to unfair visa procedures on Turks," Bagis said.
