ANKARA
Turkey's main opposition party has welcomed Iranian nuclear deal ending a decades-old conflict with the West, saying it is great to see Iran's integration into world system after years.
"This region [Middle East] is very important and should not be home to mass destruction weaponry," said Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, in a speech at his party's group meeting in Turkish capital Ankara on Tuesday.
A deal on Iran's controversial nuclear program was reached between Iran and 5 UNSC members and Germany in Geneva. The deal will be a pre-text for a broader agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear programme.
"Middle-eastern countries have the common culture and history. All of them are in need of peace," said Kilicdaroglu. "Therefore, I congratulate Iran's diplomats from the bottom of my heart."
