Davutoglu, who was asked questions only about Syria issue during the press conference after the meeting, said that neighboring countries and international community should work together for a soft and peaceful transition in Syria, adding that the transition process in Syria should be as immediate as possible.
Noting that there was a ballistic missile danger in Syria, Davutoglu said that Turkey did not see an urgent chemical weapon threat but there was always a possible danger, thus, international community should take all measures.
Regarding Iran's stance about Syria, Davutoglu said that Iran should focus on regional security and the aggressive attitude of Syria instead of criticising deployment of Patriots in Turkey.
Davutoglu said that Assad regime could no longer survive.
Also commenting on his meeting with Tuomioja, Davutoglu said that they discussed many international matters such as Turkey's EU membership, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Davutoglu thanked Finland for its support to Turkey's EU membership as well as to Palestine about the voting to upgrade its status in UN.
Tuomioja said that Turkey's EU membership was the common goal of both sides, stressing that they always supported Turkey's membership.
"There are surely some things Turkey should fulfill but we should also accept that EU should be honest to keep its doors open to Turkey," he added.
