ISTANBUL
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Greek counterpart Antonis Samaras are set to participate in a joint business event on Monday in Istanbul that seeks to boost trade between the two countries, the event's host said Sunday.
Erdogan and Samaras will address the Turkish-Greek Business Forum co-hosted by Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board, or DEIK, and Turkish Exporters' Assembly at Istanbul's Ciragan Palace.
Samaras will make a high profile appearance at the event with 10 of his cabinet members and a large group of Greek businesspeople.
The Greek minister is expected to discuss his government's plans for the privatization of state-own enterprises worth of as high as $70 billion.
