Turkey’s air force carried out airstrikes on PKK terrorist bases in northern Iraq on two separate operations on Friday and Saturday, the military said.
In a statement on its website, the Turkish General Staff said 20 F-16 and F-4 jets bombed positions in the Sinat, Haftanin and Gara regions on Friday night.
A total of 10 jets also hit the organization's bases in Gara in the early hours of Saturday.
The PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against Turkey in July. Since then, more than 290 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of terrorists killed.
