All of the Turkish dailies covered the aftermath of Boston blasts. Turkey's newspapers covered that who might be behind the blasts which happened during a marathon race in Boston, US on April 15. Daily RADIKAL published, "Boston suspect on cameras" and said that a "dark skinned" man was seen while placing a bag in his hand, meanwhile daily VATAN noted, a "white skinned" person was seen on security cameras of a supermarket. Furthermore, some of the Turkish dailies covered in their Thursday editions that Obama was sent a suspicious letter with poisonous substance. Turkish dailies SABAH, HURRIYET, YENI SAFAK CUMHRIYET stated in their headings that "Poisonous letter to Obama" and the threatening message in the letter which said, "To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance. I am KC and I approve this message." The blasts happened around three hours after the lead runners passed the finish line.
-Farewell to Iron Lady as she was laid to rest-
"UK bids farewell for 55 minutes" published daily MILLIYET and said, 2,300 guests from 170 countries attended the funeral of Britain's former prime minister, Margaret Thatcher also known as the "Iron Lady", at St. Paul's Cathedral which was also participated by Queen Elizabeth II and her spouse Prince Philip. Daily said, the last time Queen Elizabeth II had attended a funeral was former Prime Minister Winston Churchill's in 1965. The atmosphere in the cathedral was sorrowful yet there were protests outside. The ceremony took 55 minutes.
-One-day ceasefire in Syria-
"One-day long ceasefire" daily YENI SAFAK headlined and published that Syrian Red Crescent made a call for ceasefire for 24 hours in order to collect corpses lying in the streets of Aleppo where fierce clashes take place mainly between Syrian army forces and opposition members. According to the daily, the ceasefire implemented and humanitarian organization collected bodies of victims. Among 31 corpses which were collected in one quarter of the city, there were dead bodies of children too, and the paper stressed, they were shot dead by snipers.
-"Withdrawal" message reaches to Qandil-
Daily ZAMAN stated, "Qandil received the "withdrawal" message, the retreat will be held under the supervision of state" as it declares terrorist organization PKK's retreat process takes start. The paper also said, Qandil is expected to announce their statement in regards to "retreat" after receiving the message of PKK head, Ocalan. The retreat will take place by using specific routes and under the supervision of unmanned aerial vehicles.
