Turkish dailies on Thursday covered the statements of Turkish premier Erdogan, a major prisoner swap in Syria and Celal Kilicdaroglu who is the brother of Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party leader(CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu. Anadolu Agency does not verify these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.
Almost all Turkish dailies covered the statements of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the latest developments from the talks between Turkish officials and PKK terrorist organization. Erdogan spoke while he was on a trip to Niger on Wednesday. Daily TURKIYE quoted Erdogan and headlined his words saying as, "Drop arms and leave the country", and wrote that Erdodan cleared minds over the allegations about the roadmap of terrorists and drew attentions to the provocations of terrorist organization. The daily quoted Erdogan as saying, "Military operations against terrorism will continue, however peace talks might be held with the -group's political wing-". Erdogan also said, armed members should lay down their arms and leave Turkey.
Most of the Turkish dailies covered an unusual story from Turkey. Daily MILLIYET headlined, "Brother of Kilicdaroglu found a job", and stated that main opposition leader's brother works as a guard. As Turkish politicians are known as providing jobs to jobless and having links to help family members, Celal Kilicdaroglu did not seek financial aid from his brother, Kemal Kilicdaroglu (leader of opposition party CHP) he says. Brother Kilicdaroglu says that if he asked Kemal Kilicdaroglu's help it would not be fair to other people.
Dailies covered the major prison swap held in Syria on Wednesday. Over 2000 civilian prisoners were held in swap for 48 Iranians who were captured by Syrian rebels. In exchange for the 48 Iranians, the Syrian regime released 2130 people, including many Turkish nationals. Turkish NGO, Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) played a key role in the swap, dailies published.
