ISTANBUL
The Guinness Book of Records on Friday registered a 12,000 square-meter ground painting in Turkey as world's 'biggest,' one that promotes Istanbul's candidacy to host the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
In a ceremony, Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Suat Kilic made the symbolic final touches on the giant painting that portrayed the logo of Istanbul's candidacy.
More than 250 students participated in the making of the painting.
The Guinness Book of Records' Turkey representative presented a record certificate to the Turkish minister.
