HATAY
A man suspected of smuggling fuel in Hatay province resisted police officers who came to arrest him and set ablaze a container of smuggled fuel, killing 10 and injuring 3, Hatay governor's office said.
The police, tipped on a fuel smuggling business in Tanisma town of Hatay, went to arrest M.G., who resisted them and set afire the container.
One among the wounded was in critical condition and was airlifted to hospital, the office said.
An investigation into the incident was under way, the statement said.
