The Yunus Emre Institute, a Turkish organization established in 2007 with over 30 cultural centers around the world offering cultural and social programs, will hold an international Turkish Proficiency Exam on January 18, similar to the language exams offered by culture centers such as the British Council, French Culture Center and Cervantes Institute.
The application deadline for the International Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS), which started on December 16, will be January 15, 2014.
The exam will be held at the Turkish Cultural Centers of the Yunus Emre Institute, and successful test-takers will be granted Turkish Proficiency Certificate valid for 2 years.
Those with the certificate will be exempt from Turkish language prep-schools at Turkish universities, and the certificates will also benefit employers seeking Turkish-speaking personnel.
Applicants must apply in person at Yunus Emre Turkish culture centers. A passport or identity card is required for application.
