GAZA
Thousands are being sheltered in schools in Gaza due to floods caused by heavy rain and storm as civil defense teams try to rescue residents trapped in higher stories.
Fishing caciques began to be used as vehicles in al-Nafaq Street, which became reminiscent Venetian avenues.
Gazans use the boats to get back home to salvage their belongings, risking their lives in doing so.
"The state of affairs is saddening," Naim al-Galban, a civil defense official, says. "The residents are having to call us when they need to go out for anything. We also give lifts to students. We are at their service 24 hours a day."
