Assad regime forces reportedly attacked the Bayirbucak region in nothern Lattakia province of Syria which is mostly populated by Turkmen.
Bayirbucak which is under the control of Islamic Front was attacked by Assad regime forces on Wednesday morning.
More than 1,000 Turkmen have fled to Turkey, the majority of whom came from the northern Syrian town of Jarabulus because of the conflict between Syrian Islamic Front and Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
The number of Turkmen fleeing from the camps in the Turkmen region is reported to have exceeded 1,104.
These refugees were taken to sport halls in towns in the southern Turkish province of Gaziantep as there were no vacancies in the refugee camps.
