DHAKA
At least ten people were wounded on Friday after police opened fire on a march of the banned Islamist group Hizb-ut Tahrir in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
The clash erupted when police moved to disperse the activists soon after they began marching towards capital's National Press Club.
Several handmade bombs went off during the clash.
Security forces detained 18 Hizb-ut Tahrir activists.
The wounded were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
