N'DJAMENA, Chad
At least 18 people were killed and scores were injured on Saturday in a suicide blast that targeted a major market in N'Djamena, the capital of Chad.
Jamal Ali Haroun, a senior rescue official, told Anadolu Agency that the dead included seven women. Haroun also said that 74 people were seriously injured in the attack.
A military source told Anadolu Agency that "a female suicide bomber blew herself up at the market's entrance."
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but previous attacks of this nature were carried out by Boko Haram.
