At least two workers died in a coal mine accident in Russia’s northwestern Komi Republic on Thursday.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, two people died following a rock burst in the Vorkuta city of Komi Republic.
"As of now, 79 miners have been evacuated, 31 people remain in the mine. Eight people have been injured, according to the latest reports," TASS said, quoting a spokesperson for the mine owner Vorkutaugol.
