BEIRUT
Bassam Hammoud, one of the leaders of Lebanese Jamaat-e-Islami, said that Hezbollah should reconsider its stance about Syrian revolution and its attitude against oppressed Syrian people.
Speaking to AA on Wednesday, Hammoud said that Hezbollah's stance about incidents in Syria was a crime committed against the history, success and heroism of resistance.
Hammoud showed Hamas movement as an example as it objected to support Assad regime.
Noting that there was difference of opinion between Jamaat-e-Islami and Hezbollah, Hammoud said that the separation between the two groups became deeper due Hezbollah's political and military attitude regarding revolutions in Arab countries, especially the Syrian revolution.
Hammoud stressed that political forces in Lebanon should be careful in case Syrian incidents spread to Lebanon.
We should protect our country against Assad regime's efforts to carry the crisis to Lebanon, he said.
Use of weapons in Lebanon under the name of resistance is unacceptable, said Hammoud, adding that such attitudes of Hezbollah and its supporters harmed the image of resistance.
Hammoud said that Turkey should be examined as an example for national unity efforts in Lebanon, adding that Turkey experience was an example to a balanced Islamic understanding.
