Syrian military is forcing ex-soldiers in the country to join the army again, says a Syrian politician.
"The army is not discharging soldiers despite their military duties have already finished 7-8 months ago. At the border regions, they are trying to take young people who are eligible for military service," National Assembly of Syrian Kurds President Faisal Yusuf told Anadolu Agency on Friday.
Yusuf stated that young Kurdish people in the country did not want to go to the army.
"Since the revolution begins, even they are eligible for military duty, young ones do not want to join the army because of not wanting to kill someone," said Yusuf.
Yusuf also stated that Syrian families were trying to send their children abroad.
