LONDON (AA) - National Security Council has agreed Wednesday that the use of chemical weapons in Syria by Assad was unacceptable and the world cannot just stand by, said British Prime Minister David Cameron Wednesday. After the emergency meeting with the participation of high level authorities and ministers, British Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted, "The NSC agreed unanimously that the use of chemical weapons by Assad was unacceptable and the world should not stand by." He also announced that Britain has drafted a UN Security Council resolution condemning the chemical weapons attack in Syria and authorising necessary measures to protect the civilians in the country. The resolution is expected to be discussed today at a meeting of the five permanent members of the council. Meanwhile, British parliament will debate the Syria crisis on Thursday.
