ADANA, Turkey
Five al-Qaeda terror group members were convicted and sentenced at a court hearing in southern Adana province on Friday, according to a judicial source.
The 2nd High Criminal Court sentenced each of the five convicts -- Necim Tufan, Murat Bulanık, Munir Urbay, Emrah Suysal and Ahmet Ogel -- to six years and three months in prison.
Two others in the case were released, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said.
