ANKARA
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the struggle against separatist terror continued in January.
Addressing the Turkish nation on TV channels under a speech titled "On the Road for Service to the Nation", Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that they were taking steps to end terror in Turkey and to force terrorists to give up arms.
"Violence can never be justified. Using violence can not be a method for those who see themselves as right. Violence in our country has never reached its aims. In democratic societies, the place for solution is not the mountains but parliaments. The tool for solution is not guns but politics. Politics conducted on a legitimate base will sooner or later find solutions," Erdogan stated.
"Those who have eyes on our soil and those who attack our soldiers, police officers and village guards will surely receive the appropriate response as in the past. However, we need to end this process before the damage turns into gangrene and enmity gets between brothers," Erdogan stressed.
Touching on a recent cabinet shuffle in Ankara, Recep Tayyip Erdogan underlined that the former ministers of Interior, National Education, Health and Culture and Tourism were all successful.
"Ours was a change of flag and putting into force refreshing the cabinet," Erdogan also said.
Erdogan's monthly speeches were broadcast in the past under the title "Address to the Nation".
