PODGORICA
Argentine police on Wednesday arrested Montenegrins Ranko Milovic and Nikola Markovic for smuggling about 74 kilograms of cocaine.
Montenegrin media say they were arrested on a yacht in the town of Mar del Plataa. Police suspect the two were part of organized crime engaged in drug smuggling.
"It is suspected that the two were intending to transport drugs to the ship, which was located not far from the port of Mar del Plata. Suspects came to the town a few days ago, where they rented an apartment. Since those days, extensive investigations were performed against several local narcotics smugglers," the police announced.
Montenegrins Milovic and Markovic were arrested while packing cocaine on a yacht and police found their passports during the arrest.
Argentine police are investigating whether the two are linked to Darko Saric, leader of a Montenegrin drug trafficking gang with aides in Argentina.
