Prince William, the duke of Cambridge and second in line to the British throne, visited Jordan’s ancient city of Jerash on Monday.
William, who arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom on Sunday, was accompanied on his visit to Jerash by Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah.
Under security escorts, the two princes visited several of the ancient city’s Roman monuments, including its Southern Amphitheater and Colonnaded Street.
While at the Southern Theater, William met with a handful of Jordanian and Syrian children, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent at the scene.
After leaving Jordan, William is expected to visit neighboring Palestine and Israel.
