ANKARA
Two soldiers were martyred and at least 15 PKK terrorists were killed in ongoing security operations in Turkey’s southeastern Hakkari province Wednesday, Turkish military said.
A Turkish soldier was also injured, the military said, adding that the 15 PKK terrorists were “neutralized” in Hakkari province’s Yuksekova district.
The army also extended its condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers and Turkish people.
Turkish army began its air-and-ground operations against PKK terrorist organization inside Turkey and northern Iraq in late July, as the PKK renewed its armed campaign against the Turkish state following a two-and-a-half year cease-fire.
